1.
How often will we play?
We
have asked members of the orchestra whether they want to play occasionally
for concerts or weekly. The majority wished to have a few rehearsals
prior to concerts, so we will be working on this format.

2.
Where will we play?
We
generally practice in the Methodist Church Hall in Ampthill with
occasional rehearsals at Alameda Middle School.
Concert
venues we have used are given the following link.

3.
What standard do I have to be
The
standard is generally Grade 7 and higher - particularly in some
instruments. We think this is necessary given that we would
like to perform concerts and may not have many rehearsals for practice.

4.
What happens if there are to many of one instrument?
As
with any orchestra, there is only a limited number of people that
can play in order to maintain a balance. This might mean that we
have to be selective for certain instruments. Our numbers will also
have to take into account what is required to maintain a viable
orchestra in spite of occasional absences.

5.
What type of music will we play?
For
the orchestra, it is envisaged that we will play a mixture of styles.
This is something we would value feedback on. Our first concerts
have been deliberately popular to try in an attempt to attract a
good audience. We hope to play some more serious classical music
as well in the future.
